General

A Little Help by Katie provides home help, cleaning, errands and companionship services tailored to individual needs.

By booking a service, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Bookings & Cancellations

Appointments can be arranged on a regular or one-off basis.

I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a £20 cancellation fee.

Pricing & Payment

Services are charged from £20 per hour, depending on the type of service provided.

Payment is due on the day of the service unless otherwise agreed.

Payment methods can be discussed at the time of booking.

Minimum Booking Time

A minimum booking time of 1 hour applies to all services.

This ensures that each visit allows enough time to provide a thorough and meaningful level of support.

Shorter visits may still be charged at the minimum 1-hour rate.

Cleaning Services

Cleaning services include general domestic cleaning and holiday let/short-term rental cleans.

The scope of work will be agreed in advance.

I reserve the right to decline tasks that are unsafe or outside the agreed service.

Home Access

Clients may choose to be present during visits or provide access to their home.

Any keys or access arrangements will be handled with the upmost care and respect.

Clients are responsible for ensuring safe access to the property.

Health & Safety

I aim to provide services in a safe and comfortable environment.

I reserve the right to refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe or pose a risk to health.

Companionship Services

Companionship and home help services are non-medical and non-personal care.

I do not provide assistance with personal care, including but not limited to:

  • Bathing or showering

  • Toileting or continence care

  • Dressing or undressing

  • Personal hygiene

  • Administering medication

My services focus on providing practical help around the home, everyday support, and friendly companionship.

If a higher level of care is required, I would recommend seeking a qualified care provider.

Pets

I am more than happy to work in homes with pets (I love them!), but ask that pets are friendly and do not pose a risk during visits.

Errands & Shopping

Errands such as shopping or prescription collection can be carried out as part of your visit.

Any costs for shopping or services must be reimbursed by the client.

Travel

Travel within a reasonable local area is included.

Additional charges may apply for longer distances and will be agreed in advance.

Liability

While every care is taken, A Little Help by Katie cannot be held responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Wear and tear

  • Items not disclosed as fragile

Any concerns should be raised as soon as possible.

Communication

Open communication is encouraged to ensure the best possible experience for all clients.
